We had a great Easter once again. The kids woke up to their baskets by their dressers, that bunny is sneaky! We got ready for church even though the baskets were very distracting. We went to church and were able to remember why we celebrate Easter. I was impressed at how much the kids knew about Easter when I asked, those primary teachers are pretty awesome. We (Jon & I) decided to invite the family over for Easter knowing how exhausted Jon's mom was from taking care of Davy and Rachel (both having Angiograms this past week). We were going to have a simple dinner and a few desserts since it was also Davy's birthday but it turned into a full on buffet. Every food you could think of was probably there but I am not complaining because it was all very yummy. It was pretty easy with every one's help. After dinner we hid eggs at the park across the street and let the kids go hunting. They had fun. Tyler was amazing and filled his bucket so full but was sweet enough to share with his cousins. Degan kept telling me..."I'm not doing so well". He is so cute and he was just fine when I told him that Tyler would share his candy. Elora didn't go hunting, she just wanted to eat the candy and she sure found out fast that there was candy in those eggs. We ended up full of food, candy and love. Love for family and love for our Savior.Sunday, April 12, 2009

Walking Little Funny Face
Elora officially started walking this week. She just gets up and starts walking whenever she wants, I think she likes the attention it brings. She is doing really well and she loves to push the dining chairs all over the place now. She is so much fun which makes up for all the work it takes to care for her. She is gaining her independence slowly but surely. She is by far the most demanding one of our children. She occasionally makes these really funny faces that just crack us up. We totally love her and think she is so stinkin' cute.
Tyler and His "Genes"
Tyler and Degan ripping Tyler's jeans, I'm sure Elora is thinking it is pretty cool.
So as you all know Tyler isn't abnormally tall or too skinny right? So why is it so hard to find him the right fitting jeans. Well I think he inherited the long skinny legs of the family and that is why it is so hard. We love the jeans at J C Penney but we don't like that the knees wear out so quickly (see pictures above). We thought that maybe if we spent a little more on some Levi's maybe they would last longer. Well, we went to JCP today between conference and had him try on several pairs of Levi's of different sizes. We found that they were too big and too short, even the slim sizes. We left with 2 pairs of the Arizona brand ones that we usually get and are hoping that they will last at least until school is out in 2 months. I don't know what it is with boys and worn out knees, even Degan is starting to have all of his worn out too.

I just had to throw this one in that I took a couple of days ago. She is just so precious but also so bratty lately. I still love her though!
