I want to get back!

To blogging that is.  This is my new goal.  Facebook has taken over and I catch myself checking it too often and I feel like I am wasting so much time.  At least when I blog I can eventually put it all in a book that we can look back at in the future.  So wish me luck.

We Are BYU!

We got to experience our first BYU Basketball game and it was so fun. The boys loved the game and the experience and Elora loved Cosmo the Cougar until we got too close then she hated him. Thank you to Sumer and her awesome Mom!

Blue and Gold Banquet

Our ward had our Blue & Gold Banquet for Cub Scouts. It was "Native American" theme which is why our cub master is wearing a head dress. I received the "On My Honor" Award and Tyler received his Webelos Badge.

Elora's 3rd Birthday

My baby is now 3 years old. I can't believe it but she is. She is such a smart little thing and she is always making us laugh. Her new thing to say is "Dang it" and she is always asking "WHY" about everything which makes the boys laugh hysterically. I love her so much and can't imagine life without her. She insisted on having a Curious George cake so I did my best and I think it turned out cute. She also chose to go to "Chuchie cheeshish" for dinner. She got princess dolls and her favorite present was her lady bug pillow pet that she has seen and kissed at Walgreen's every time we went since Christmas. All in all a perfect day for my perfect little stinker.

Degan Lost His 1st Tooth

The top 2 pictures are of him before he lost it and the bottom 2 pictures are of him missing his bottom front tooth. He was biting on a pillow and pulled when he noticed it was loose and bleeding. It took about 4 days before he let me pull it out. What a cutie.

The Train Show

The kids and I were able to go to the Model Train Show. It was fun to see all the model trains that they had on display. It was not fun being asked a million times if we could buy one!

Gymnastics

Degan has started Gymnastics and absolutely loves it. Morning, noon and night we find him doing cartwheels, roundoffs, handstands and backbends. I think we may have an Olympian on our hands.

Family Pictures

We love how our family pics came out this year. We had our friend take them and she did a great job. Let me know if you want her number.

October 2010 Happenings

We've been busy around here this month but it has been lots of fun.
Elora lovin on Louis, she loves him so much.
Degan's Kindergarten class all dressed up for Halloween. They were all so dang cute.
Tyler was bound and determined to be Jason from Friday the 13th, not that he has ever even seen it. To him Halloween = Scary, which is true right? Degan was talked into being a ninja and Elora was a Peacock because I was worried about her being warm and it was the only thing left at Old Navy that looked warm. They all were very cute +/or scary.

We finally were able to take Tyler and a few of his friends to the movies for his 10th birthday. We saw The Sorcerer's Apprentice which was a pretty good movie.

The most fun we had this month was going to Park City. I had never gone up there in the Fall but it was beautiful. So many awesome colors on the mountains. Jon and I actually went up for 2 nights by ourselves and then we picked up the kids for another 2 nights. We had fun swimming, shopping(at least I did), taking our scarecrow walk, eating out, and even a haunted house(just me and Jon). It was so nice being alone with Jon, we had never done that since Elora was born but we all survived.

We got to go to a real pumpkin patch, go on a hayride and pick out some pumpkins. It was fun.

On the first day of UEA (fall break) I took the kids to Gardner village to see the witches. They were all so cute. I could not believe how many witches there were and how many people were there too. What did I think going the first day of UEA?
Now we are into November and I am really looking forward to the holidays. I went in the store today and saw so much Christmas stuff getting put out, I just wanted to come home and decorate but I will at least try to wait for Thanksgiving until I do that.

The Bed!!!

The finished product.
So, Jon and I were looking into buying a bed for Elora and we noticed that for $150 we could buy a hunk of junk. Well we have been suckered into one too many hunks of junk around here so Jon decided (with a little encouragement from me) that he could build a bed for Elora. I think it turned out great and I will tell you right now that it won't be falling apart anytime in the near or distant future. It is SOLID!
Elora loved painting the bed. The boys got in on the act also.
Before the paint.
