The New Do!

We can finally put Elora's hair in pic tails. She looks so much older now but it is so cute. Today Jon put gel in them and they stuck straight up. Now we know what she will be for Halloween.....a ladybug with built in antennae.

Disneyland 08'

Our trip to Disneyland was so much fun. We got to see so many characters, ride so many rides and eat some really expensive food. Everything went really well until Degan came down with a really high fever. We got him some Tylenol and tried plugging along but we soon had to take him to Urgent care and spend $200 for the visit, a shot in his rear end and some antibiotics for his Strep infection, yup there goes those tonsils again. Anyway we took a day and a half to recover and got an extra night at the hotel, another $100 and had a great time at Disneyland. We were so happy to spend our vacation with our friends the Kendell's. Tyler and Conner are best buds and so they rode rides together every chance they got. I am so glad to have these memories and hopefully the boys will remember this vacation for a long time. We decided that every time one of the kids turns 8, we would go to Disneyland....that's if we can wait that long. I already want to plan our next trip there.
Waiting for the bus to Disneyland on our first day. The boys were SO excited.

Right inside the Disneyland gates.

Getting on the Jon's favorite ride 'The Pirates of the Caribbean'.

Conner and Tyler

Degan not feeling so well. He was really upset that we took him on Space Mountain.

Jedi Knight Training

We all loved Buzz Lightyear's Astro Blasters ride.

Addyson and Degan looking at a brochure in the lobby of the hotel. We were even able to stay on the same floor of the same hotel as them. How cool is that?
We had so much fun at Newport Beach. The boys and Addyson were covered in sand. They could have stayed all day. This was the day Degan was recovering from the shot in his bum that he got the night before and the infection. He didn't even act sick. Thank goodness the Kendell's didn't catch anything from us.
I am so glad we went to Disneyland. This was Jon, Tyler and Degan's first trip there and the last time I went I was around 6 years old. We will definitely be back, maybe not on UEA(fall break) but we will be back. UEA made it a little crowded but it was all worth it. Disneyland, I'll miss you!

Awesome Deals!!!

I couldn't believe it when my friend told me about this blog site( http://frugalisfab.blogspot.com/) that shows how to get FREE STUFF. I am always willing to try something that will end up saving me money so I went to the blog and my eyes were opened and my jaw dropped. She shows you how to get deals at certain stores. I tried it today at Rite Aid and I spent $93.49, but wait.... I will be getting a rebate check for.....are you ready??? $76.84 plus another rebate for $1.50. I got all of the stuff in the picture below for $15.15 cause I had a few coupons as well and tax is included. A lot of it is medicines that I will put away for a rainy day but I feel it is well worth it. Check out the blog and start getting the Sunday paper so that you can save all the coupons. It is really amazing.

Daddy's Little Girl

Not!!!
This picture is one of the rare moments where Elora is content with Jon.
She is such a momma's girl.

I just thought this picture was so cute of her and the ball that is as big as she is. She had a lot of fun trying to bite the ball. It wouldn't quite fit in her mouth!

Tyler's Baptism

Well Tyler, your big day finally came. Now that you are 8 you were able to get baptized and become a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We are so proud of your decision to get baptized. You are a very sweet and compassionate boy and you are always trying to choose what is right. Not only are we so happy about your decision but Heavenly Father and Jesus are as well. This is only the first of many important decisions in your life. Congratulations sweetheart. WE LOVE YOU!!
What a cutie, all ready to go.
Jon was able to baptize Tyler.
Our family. The 3 munchkins.

Tyler's Clone Wars Party

Tonight we had a party for Tyler's 8th birthday. He chose Star Wars The Clone Wars as his theme. We got everyone a clone trooper mask and inflatable light saber. The kids had a blast with those things I tell you. I didn't really plan out activities because I knew that they would have so much fun beating each other up with the light sabers.

Lexi, Cori, Gabe, Conner, Zion, Tyler, Dominick, Degan and Jacob being clone troopers.
Lexi, Gabe, Cori, Conner, Tyler, Zion, Dominick, Jacob and Degan being tough.
Friday's are spirit days at school so that is why half are wearing the same school shirts.

Make a wish!!!I am not that creative so when I found Clone Wars rings, I decided to put them on the cupcakes.
The kids loved playing Twister.
Round 2, 3 or 4.

Pin the tail on the Donkey.

It worked out pretty good, the series premier of The Clone Wars was on and this is the kids watching the countdown. 36 seconds left!!!

Picture of the TV.

With both boys having birthdays in September, I am sure glad that September is over. It was a very busy month. 2 Birthdays, 2 parties, 1 Primary program, a new church building and moving everything over.......I'm pooped. October will have a whole new set of fun and exciting things. Tyler's Baptism, Disneyland, Primary Halloween Activity to organize and Halloween. Will it ever slow down??? Nah, then life would be boring.

Tyler's 8th Birthday

My Tyler is now 8 years old. I can't believe it, time has gone by so fast. He is such a good boy and always tries to do what is right. He helps me so much with his little brother and little sister. He is a wonderful artist and an excellent reader. He is one of the most compassionate kids that I know. We are so grateful to have Tyler in our family. He truly does bless our family. Happy 8th Birthday Tutterbug(nickname he's had since he was about 1). The song playing is Tyler's song, "With Arms Wide Open" from Creed. We heard it on the radio while driving to the hospital.
Glasses, lei, tootsie pop and colored pencils provided by Mrs. Soderborg.
It is beach themed in his classroom.
Tyler getting lessons on how to close the knife he got from us. He is not allowed to use this one for a while because he got 2 cuts already from it. He will have to use the one he already has, this one is just WAY TOO sharp.
We got Tyler an alligator doughnut for his birthday.

Tyler got to go to his first Cub Scout Pack meeting where all the kids welcomed him in with a song. It was really cute. He will be in the Wolf Den with some pretty awesome leaders. We are very lucky. I know he will be well taken care of and he will have a great time learning new things. We are excited because he will be able to take part in the Pinewood Derby in November.
