Degan

Degan is getting so big that I always forget that he is only 4 years old. He acts so much older and lately even talks so much better. I love the way he says things but lately I have been thinking that I should be working with him to correct some of his speech issues. He really doesn't have many but he has a hard time with the L and TH sounds. He makes the yuh sound for the L and the B sound for the TH. He usually says bee for the number 3 and bought for thought and so on but lately he has been saying it the right way and if he does slip he hurries to correct himself. The only problem now is that he thinks more words start with the TH sound. The other day he was telling me that Elora wanted theese. I had no idea what he was saying until he showed me and it happened to be cheese, so then I had to explain that he didn't have to change how he says cheese and a few other words that he questioned. He is so funny sometimes. I love this little guy. Loving his sister.

His favorite place to eat lunch is on the couch.

Here She is Again

Just some more cute pictures of my growing girl. She will be 1 in a couple of weeks. It makes me so sad to see her growing so fast but I am looking forward to her independence.
Cute leopard pants. Too cute.

Looking tired.

I'm standing!!!

Already into cars like her brothers. Do you think she will be a Tomboy?

Hello, who's calling?

The 100 year old Bobcat!

OK, I will explain the title of this post. Tyler is in Cub Scouts and just got his Bobcat badge. It was fun at the pack meeting because Jon and I got to put paint on Tyler's face which symbolized certain cub scout things. Also his best bud Conner was able to get his bobcat on the same day. Their next mission is to get their Wolf but until then there are lots of awards and pins to try and get.
Jon putting paint on Tyler's face.
Conner laughing at the beautiful paint job on Tyler.

Look at Jon's nose, The kids got to put a little paint on the parents. I lucked out and had to walk away because Elora was fussing so I didn't have to be painted.

The finished project. What a sweet boy we have. The only color I can remember is the white. It is so he knows "white from wrong!"

Now for the 100 year old part of the title. All of the 2ND graders at school were supposed to dress up like they were 100 years old because it was the 100Th day of school. The kids at school said he looked like a 100 year old Harry Potter but that was actually OK with Tyler. Who wouldn't want to look like Harry Potter?

Our Little Girl

Are you bored yet with the pictures of Elora all the time. She is just so fun to take pictures of and it lets my family far away get to see her as she grows.
She loves giving kisses, wide open slobbery kisses on the mouth. She goes up to Tyler and Degan all the time with her mouth wide open saying "AHHHHHHH" until they give in and kiss her. She especially loves kisses from Degan.
Elora has turned into a little dare devil. Her favorite place to be is on the couch. She whines until I put her on there and then she does every stunt possible to give me a heart attack. Today I forgot that I put her on the couch and I walked away. A few seconds later I heard a bang and found her on the floor next to the couch. I am pretty sure she went down head first, thank goodness everything was fine. She even wanted to get back on the couch a little while later.
Elora on the very edge of the couch looking down at the floor.

On the edge ready to jump. She did jump down a few times and thought it was fun. What a goofball. I guess with 2 older brothers showing her all the fun things she can do, it is only natural.
Below is a video of Elora singing and dancing. Anytime music is on she likes to sing along and dance. It is really cute. You will have to pause the music on my playlist at the bottom of the blog page so that you can hear her singing.

Not the right ones.

When Jon came home today from work and saw the pretty flowers sitting on the counter he wasn't too happy. Apparently they look nothing like the ones he ordered so I should be getting new ones in a day or two. I feel bad that he feels bad but what do you do, if only people did their jobs correctly.

My Sweet Hubby

I was out visiting teaching when Jon kept calling my cell. I ignored it but finally answered really quick to tell him that I was busy. He asked "where are you?" and I told him. A few minutes later there was a knock on my friends door and low and behold it was the flower delivery man. It is too cold to leave flowers outside our house so Jon walked him over the phone as to where I was. It was a very nice surprise. These were for our anniversary.

19 Christmas' Ago

Can you believe that is us. We met 19 years ago and this was our very first Christmas together. I was 15 and Jon was 17. We were just babies but we were in love. It has been so fun growing up with the love of my life. We sometimes feel like those silly teenagers in the picture. Don't you love our hair. I fell in love with Jon and his hair at a Church dance. I went with my best friend Amy and he was about to leave the dance out of boredom until he saw me. It was love at first sight. He drove me home (around the corner) and we talked for a long time and he gave me his #. Yes I called him first and the rest is history. I also kissed him first on my 15th birthday, I know I know we were young, we've heard it all before but it all worked out and we are still together and will be forever.

13 Years

Jon and I have been married now for 13 years. I can't believe how fast the time flies when you are with someone you love. I am so glad that I met such a wonderful, caring and romantic man. Yes, Jon is more romantic than I am most of the time. He is a sweetheart and a great father even though he loves to tease them most of the time but I think that is normal for men to do. I wouldn't change anything that has happened in our lives together. We have been able to bring 3 perfect little human beings into this beautiful world. I am truly grateful for my hubby.
Happy 13th Anniversary Jon, I love you.

Reflections Update

Back in November Tyler won the Reflections contest at school for his artwork in the visual arts category for his grade level. His drawing then went to the next round of competition with 6 other schools in the area and guess what? He won again. We are so proud of him and this talent that he has been blessed with. The council chair told me that we should be proud since there were over 200 entries. He was so happy and we all can't wait to see what happens next. His drawing will now go on to Regional and if he wins that then it will go on to State. Way to go Tyler. You are awesome!
