Our little Wolf

Tyler earned his Wolf today in Cub Scouts. He has done really well to get things done in his book. He also has earned lots of belt loops for other achievements. He is such a sweet kid and I love him. I am proud of our boy.

Bro. Evans presenting Tyler with his awards.
I had to paint a wolf print on Tyler's hand and then he had to put a little white paint on my hand. I don't know if you can see in the picture but he covered my hand in white paint. My little shy boy is still a stinker to his mom.

Got Milk?

We love to drink heavy whipping cream at our house, I know it is not normal but I thought Elora looked so cute with her milk mustache.

Children's Discovery Museum

I decided to take the kids to the Gateway Children's Discovery Museum and boy did they have fun. It is a pretty cool place when you have the buy one get one admission free coupon. I don't think I would ever pay full price but besides that it was fun.

Elora and Braeden driving in a car.

Tyler and Conner climbing the rock wall. Elora wanted to climb too.

Elora at the water table having a blast.

Degan using a crane.

After the museum Sumer and I went shopping for a bit and Kevin watched the kids at this fountain thing. By the time we got back the kids were drenched but they had so much fun. We could have saved $18 and missed the museum and just taken them to this. Kevin had a great time too watching this lovely lady drenched with no bra on. Oh people have so much class don't they. Sorry Kevin that you had to be subjected to that. Are your eyes OK yet?

Crabs

We are petsitting some hermit crabs for our friends and Elora loves them more than the boys. She would look at them all day if she could. She even tries holding them but I am afraid she will drop them.

What we've been up to lately. part 2

So to continue with what we have been doing lately....

we went back the "This is the Place" and saw a bank robbery that freaked Elora out. She was so scared when the bad guys got shot and "died".

We went on a train ride with our good friends the Fralicks, they like to dress like pioneers. Actually they volunteer at "this is the place" and that is why they are dressed like pioneers.

We got to vote for women's rights. Jon voted "No"on equal rights for women, figures.

Can you tell that Elora still loves the potty?

Elora went in for her 15month old appointment even though she is 17 months. She had 3 shots but all went well. Her stats are...
Weight: 20.6lbs (10%)
Length: 31.75" (75%)
Long, lean, and healthy!

Just like how the boys are working together in this picture. Tyler is in charge of the milk and Degan is in charge of the chocolate powder.

Tara (Jon's baby sister) had a sweet baby girl on 7/16/2009.
Madilyn Kaylene 6lbs. 12oz. and 19"

Look how Madi is looking at Tyler, soooo cute.
This is the best smile I could get out of Degan. He was acting so shy while holding Madi, maybe he was nervous.
We all love Madi's lips. She is a little angel and we are glad she is here.
So that is pretty much our life lately besides the normal day to day stuff that takes up every minute. I hope to do a few more fun things before summer is over. It is going by way too fast.

What we've been up to lately. part 1

I am finally getting a good chance to post some pictures. We got a new computer that won't freeze up on me while posting and I got a new camera that is able to take beautifully clear pictures...YAY! So a few things that kept us busy are.....

played mini-golf with some friends,

went to Costco with friends after mini-golf (Costco has never been so fun!),
went to "This is the Place, Heritage park" with Aunt Becky when she visited,
got to pet some animals there,

saw beautiful rainbows several days in June,
met Ronald McDonald at the park, he even read a book to us and did some magic,

we were with friends too,

went on a picnic up the Timpanogas canyon,
where Tyler learned to fish in the river and get signed off for his fishing belt loop for scouts,

then the 4th of July came and Elora discovered watermelon, too bad it gave her a bad rash the next day because she ate so much of it,

got together with neighbors at the park across the street until the sprinklers came on and drove us out,

spray painted every one's hair which is a 4th of July tradition around here,

but couldn't really spray Degan's head due to this 4th of July injury. He rode his trike right into the tailgate of Jon's truck and had a gash in his head that Jon butterflied up. He is all better now and it healed up nicely, now we are just waiting for his hair to grow back.
After the festivities we went inside with our water cooler and found Elora trying to figure out how to get a drink. She unfortunately found out how to push the button and soak the floor. Smart little stinker.

Mommy bragging moment

I actually have another month of pictures to post but I just wanted to post this so I don't forget. When I took off Elora's diaper yesterday to change her, I mentioned that she has to learn to go pee pee in the potty. She got up and took off running toward the bathroom. Just to amuse her I put her on the toilet and told her to go pee pee. She pushed so hard that she farted then grabbed a piece of toilet paper and wiped. I thought that it was so cute and I can't believe how observant she apparently has been. Today, she made me put her on the toilet again and she actually pooped. Way to go girl. Now we will have to wait and see if she stays excited about it or if she will be in diapers another 2 years. Time will tell and pictures will be coming. My camera is currently at the shop since all my pictures are always blurry. The tech finally knows what I am talking about so hopefully it gets fixed or I can get a new camera.
